Third Grading Period

At the end of each quarter, students like me, has our own observations and experiences on the topics tackled during this particular time. Some lessons learned and information acquired through the aid of our dear mentors, who are always there to give a hand.

Now, our third grading period is over. And we are again entering the fourth quarter of our education, which is the last part of the school year. Some of the contents of our third quarter in T.L.E were the Microsoft FrontPage and continued some topics on basic HTML. The Microsoft FrontPage is a WYSIWYG HTML editor and website administration tool from Microsoft for the Microsoft Windows line of operating system. It is deigned to hide the details of the pages of HTML code from the user, making it possible for novices to easily created Webpage and sites. This topic helps us to make our activity in this subject, making our community profile which we have started months ago, our project in the first grading period. The second topic is just the continuation of the HTML we’ve tackled in the past grading. It is about the tags frequently used.

These topics help us to understand more on technology and become a prudent student of our institution.

Celebrating the Values Month This November

Values place an important role in the life of a student. It is one of the most essential subject in school, for it teaches us good morals and right conducts (GMRC). Or in a word, having Values as a subject disciplines an individual, inside and outside.

Celebrations of different departments in school is so rampant. Every month, there is a designated department who would lead the festivities, with their own themes and topics. And for this month of November-----Values Club is the star and probably the talk of the crowd. For it is their time to show how they've made this month memorable and different from the other more months.

This year's theme is "Pagpapatibay ng Pagkataong Pilipino: Tugon sa Hamon ng Buhay"And in connection with this theme, contests were given to students in the campus from first to fourth year, of course. Some contest joined were essay writing, poster making, tagis talino, sayawit and kite flying.Significantly, a morning trivia was also given by Mr. Obrero, every other day, to enhance our minds think and apply the learnings we've learned in our Values class. This game is great because it is open to all. However sometimes it is done by year level. And the winners were given cash prizes and certificates.

A film viewing was also conducted by the said club. We, Marconi watched the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior. It is one of the most important ad apt day throughout the year.Which is celebrated as a major festival and public holiday in most countries of the world, even in many which are not majority Christian.

Its December again. And we have two weeks to go before the day of Christmas. Indeed, from now we already feel the cool December air in the early morning. In houses and offices we see luxurious Christmas lanterns hanging and colorful lights twinkling in the middle of the night.Over the radios we hear Christmas carols and jingles sang by some popular artists. Also, Christmas trees are now decorated and placed in every heart of the house or building.Presents are being wrapped already, ready to be given away on Christmas. However a question comes in mind, do we really celebrate Christmas with its real essence???

Christmas should not be focused on material things alone: decorating symbols of Christmas paraphernalia and preparing foods and gifts. It must be celebrated with deeper sense and meaning. It must be done with the spirit of forgiveness and love. Forgiving someones fault is the hardest task to do. The reason why life is miserable and why love fails. Nevertheless, we must put in mind and heart the true and real essence of the yuletide season. Once you forgive, love enters into your heart. It will brighten our heart and establish a feeling of gladness and peace.

Forgiveness and love must be the center of the Christmas season. And let the essence of Christmas shine up our NATION.

Summing Up

Five months have past and days still walks quickly and rapidly without brakes. And everyday it counts; we are nearly approaching again for the examination.

In this grading period, I have noticed that several days have been wasted because of vicious typhoons and some exemptions of classes such the Ramadan last September 21. The reason why we have a lot of topics untackled and we are still rushing those, though we know that our test is approaching and the intramurals after it.

Nevertheless, I have enjoyed my vacation and rest days for more than a week and also my Technology Livelihood Education subject for I have learned on how to compose html tags in the notepad. Though it has many ways to be written on it, it’s still interesting. At first, I was hardened to know what to do, how to do it. However, as we go on our topic I have determined and understand it fully, with ease.

Well. I treasure all this, because now we are on a modern and advance world so we must be also inn such learning’s. Because I’m sure enough that this learning’s will be used in my future life

"My Teacher, My Hero"

“The way to heaven is full of obstacles and brambles.” Just the same as success. However, a single person can’t do it by himself. We need still companions to sense the light for the right way. A teacher, who will teach enough knowledge to pursue life and make it to the fullest. Learning’s which will serve as basis information transcribed from one generation to another.

A teacher is a person who educates others. A teacher who educates an individual student may also be described as a personal tutor. The role of teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out by way of occupation or profession at a school or other place of formal education. In many countries, a person wishing to become a teacher at state-funded schools must first obtain professional qualifications or credentials from a university or college. These professional qualifications may include the study of pedagogy, the science of teaching. Teachers may use a lesson plan to facilitate student learning, providing a course of study which covers a standardized curriculum. A teacher's role may vary between cultures. Teachers teach literacy and numeric, or some of the other school subjects. Other teachers may provide instruction in craftsmanship or vocational training, the Arts, religion or spirituality, civics, community roles, or life skills. In some countries, formal education can take place through home schooling.

We must be thankful for having our dear teachers. For they have molded not only us but billions of people entire the world. And nurtured us, a good and petite citizen of our county. And we’re grateful for their sacrifices, having overtimes in teaching, sharing their opinions. And enjoying their periods with their naughty bur clever students.

Definitely, our world would not work as today and we are not here in good positions without their aid and presence. Life would be miserable, if were brain drain. Consequently, Lord thy God created them to the spread of the news.

So lets share this very significant day for them.... The teachers day celebration and honor them, what they deserve to be.

FILIPINO LANGUAGE

Language is a system for encoding and decoding information. It refers to so-called "natural languages" — the forms of communication considered peculiar to humankind which always implies a particular type of human thought which can be present even when communication is not the result, and this way of thinking is also sometimes treated as indistinguishable from language itself.

Filipino is the national language of the Philippines designated in the 1987 Philippine Constitution. Filipino is an Austronesian language that is based on various existing native languages in the Philippines. It was chosen to be the national language of the Philippines despite of the other dialects over than 140 used in the country.

The Filipino language was chosen as the base language of the country in December 30, 1937.Through the administration of the President Manuel L. Quezon. He renamed the Tagalog Language as the Wikang Pambansa( national language) in English translation. For the reason that tagalog is widely spoken and is the language most understood in all the Regions of the Philippines and it has always been the use language in Manila, the capital of the nation.
Well, it originated in Baler and spread throughout the country, because Manuel L. Quezon, the Father of National Language, was born in this place

Filipino and English are both the official languages of the country. Filipino also had the distinction of being a national language that was to be "developed and enriched on the basis of existing Philippine and other languages." Although not explicitly stated in the constitution, Filipino is in practice almost completely composed of the Tagalog as spoken in the capital, Manila.

T.L.E. AS MY SUBJECT

Technology Livelihood Education (T.L.E) is a vital subject included in the curriculum for high school. This course of study uses computers.Which enables us students to use it for our educational purposes. Significantly, leads people to a modernized and high-tech living.

Internet was our topic for this school year. It refers to a global collection of interconnected networks------ a network of networks. Using the internet you can exchange users from around the world, can communicate online and allows you to get sufficient informations about a toic. Under this internet, we have tackled its components, importance, evolution/ history and using search engines. which gave us further knowledge about mining the internet. These were the tactics or strategies used when searching a subject in order to search quickly. We have also touched about blogging and using the electronic mail. We have created our own blogs created with designs/templates.

For my evaluation our Technology Livelihood Education subject is informative and convincing to learn because of the use of computers which aroused and enjoys ones emotions, through its efficient and fast works. Even me, I think I have done well my part as a student because I had gained knowledge about surfing the net. However, there are times that the connection of the internet is not working and the sometimes the computers are also not responding, which destroys much our time in performing our tasks in school.
